Oil

In 2012, at my "Love for All Seasons" art show in Chicago, my first oil painting was displayed. That show primarily featured traditional Chinese paintings, with the exception of one piece, which was inspired by a dream. That dream provided me with every detail of a painting, even the shape of the frame, which was incredibly vivid. The next morning, I told my mom, I am going to paint it, but it is an oil painting. My mom was surprised. That was the beginning of my oil painting journey and the first from my "Dream Series".

In the dynamic world of modern oil painting, artists continually push boundaries with colors and styles. A striking example is this rendition of a tiger cub, which diverges from the conventional orange and black palette. Instead, hues of blue and pink, accented with gold, breathe new life into this familiar subject.

What sets this painting apart is its palpable sense of hope. The tiger cub's eyes sparkle with joy and anticipation, evoking a sense of optimism for the future. Perhaps the artist aims to convey a message of positivity, reminding us that even amidst challenges, optimism prevails.

This contemporary oil painting of a tiger cub is not only visually captivating but also thought-provoking. It challenges our perceptions of color and animal representation, encouraging us to embrace fresh perspectives and discover beauty in unexpected places.
